Delete your account

How to delete your MinitHub account and everything in it, with or without the app.

Last updated [LAUNCH DAY]

In the app (fastest)

  1. Open MinitHub and go to Account > Settings > Delete account.
  2. Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete my account.
  3. If you signed in more than 15 minutes ago, we email you a code first, to check it is you. Tap Email me a code, enter the code, then tap Delete my account again. If you signed in in the last 15 minutes, there is no code step.

Your account is deleted straight away, and you are signed out on every phone. Your recordings and the files made from them are removed from our storage within 24 hours, and any copy of a transcript still held by our speech-to-text provider is deleted too.

Without the app

Email support@minithub.com with the subject "Delete my account". Send it from the email address on the account, because that is how we know the account is yours.

If you can no longer use that address, write from another one and tell us roughly when you signed up. We may ask you a few questions to check it is you. We delete the account within 21 days of confirming, usually within a few working days, and email you when it is done.

What is deleted at once

From our live systems, for good, the moment you confirm:

  • Your account: email address, name, any Apple or Google sign-in link, settings, and your sign-in on every phone.
  • All your meetings: titles, transcripts, speaker names, attendees, bookmarks, every minit and its earlier versions, action items, and the questions you asked.
  • Your contacts, your templates and your letterhead.
  • Every share link you made. Anyone who opens one gets "not found".
  • Your minutes used, your AI notice consent, your notifications and notification tokens.
  • The record of the minit emails and reminders you sent, and the reminders still to go.

What is deleted within 24 hours

  • Your recordings (audio) and PDF and Word files in our file storage. The deletion starts at once and is checked until it is done.
  • Transcripts still held by our speech-to-text service. We ask it to delete them. We normally delete them there as soon as the transcript is ready.

What stays for a while, and why

  • Backups of our database: up to 30 days, then destroyed.
  • Security notes (a failed sign-in, a blocked request, with an IP address): up to 90 days.
  • Processing job records (which AI service ran a job, its length and cost; no meeting content and no link to you): kept for our cost records, without a time limit.
  • Our AI writing service (Anthropic) deletes what we sent it within 30 days. It never uses it for training.
  • Stop requests: if someone used the link in one of your emails to stop all MinitHub emails, we keep a one-way code of their address (never the address) for 2 years, so they are not emailed again.
  • Purchases stay on record with the app store and RevenueCat under their own rules.

What we cannot delete for you

  • Recordings still on your phone. A recording is kept on the phone for 7 days or more after it uploads, and a recording that never uploaded, or whose minit failed, stays until you delete it. Delete the MinitHub app to remove them.
  • Minit you already shared. Emails, chat messages, PDF and Word files you sent to other people are in their inboxes and chats.

Before you delete

  • A subscription is not cancelled by deleting your account. Cancel it first in your app store account's subscription settings, or the store keeps charging you.
  • Save what you need first. In the app, open Account, tap your name, then Download my data. You get your meetings, transcripts, minit (as data and as a PDF), action items, contacts and links to your audio. Once your account is deleted, nothing can be brought back.
  • Signing out or deleting the app does not delete your account. Everything stays until you delete the account.

Delete only some data

You do not have to delete your account to remove data:

  • Delete one meeting, or only its audio, from the meeting in the app.
  • Turn on Delete audio after 30 days in Settings. Each recording's audio is then deleted 30 days after it was recorded. Transcripts and minit stay.
