Terms of Use

What you agree to by using MinitHub, and what we promise in return.

Agreeing to this

These terms are an agreement between you and MAROTECH SOLUTIONS, a business registered in Malaysia (SSM 202603017053 (CT0159782-U)), of Kampung Masjid Haji Kadir, 21100 Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu, Malaysia ("we", "us"). MinitHub is a product of MAROTECH SOLUTIONS. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use MinitHub for a business or an organisation, you agree for it too, and you confirm you may do so.

Your account

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Use a real email address that only you can read. We sign you in with a code sent to it, so keep that mailbox safe. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
  • Tell us straight away at support@minithub.com if you think someone else has used it.

Recording people: your duty

MinitHub records the people in your meeting. Before you record, you must tell everyone present that the meeting is being recorded and get their consent. This also applies to recordings you import, and to people who join by phone or video call in the room.

  • Do not record anyone secretly, or where the law or the meeting's own rules do not allow recording.
  • If anyone under 18 will be recorded (for example in a class), get the consent of a parent or guardian, or the permission of the school or organisation, as the law requires.
  • You are responsible for what you record, for the personal data of the people in it, and for who you share the minit with.
  • If a person asks you not to record them, or asks you to delete a recording of them, you deal with that request. You can delete a meeting or its audio in the app at any time.

The app reminds you to ask for consent. The reminder does not replace your duty.

MinitHub does not record phone calls

MinitHub records what the phone's microphone hears in the room. It does not record phone calls or calls in other apps.

The minit is written by AI: check it

  • The transcript and the minit are made by AI services (named in our Privacy Policy). They can mishear words, mix up speakers, miss or invent a point, or get a name, a decision, an owner or a date wrong.
  • In the app, each minit is marked "Written by AI. Check before you share."
  • Read and correct the minit before you share it, sign it, or rely on it. You are responsible for the minit you send or adopt as a record.
  • Speaker name suggestions are guesses from what was said. They are used only if you accept them.
  • Do not use MinitHub as the only record where the law or a contract needs an exact record. Keep the audio, or your own notes, if you need them.
  • Your meetings are never used to train AI.

What you must not do with it

  • Break the law, or anyone else's rights, with it, including privacy law and the duty to get consent above.
  • Record or process anything you have no right to, such as a meeting you were not allowed to record.
  • Use it to send spam, or to deceive, harass or defraud anyone. This includes the minit emails and reminders MinitHub sends for you.
  • Try to reach other people's data, test or break our security, get around plan limits, or put a heavy load on our servers on purpose.
  • Upload anything harmful, such as viruses or files made to attack our systems, or copy, resell or take apart the app.
  • Try to make the AI produce unlawful or harmful content.

People who get emails from MinitHub can stop them, or report abuse, with the links in each email. We may stop sending emails for an account that is reported or breaks these terms.

What you put in it stays yours

Your recordings, transcripts, minit and everything else you put in MinitHub belong to you (or to the people or organisation you record for). You let us store and process them only to run MinitHub for you, as our Privacy Policy describes.

What is ours

The app, its design, its templates, its name and its logo belong to us. You may use the app as these terms allow, and nothing more.

What it costs

Free

The Free plan costs nothing. It includes:

  • 90 minutes of minit a month;
  • a minit for recordings up to 30 minutes long (for a longer recording you can write a minit for the first 30 minutes, or try Pro);
  • 6 templates: Meeting, Client meeting, Team catch-up, AGM, Project meeting and Ceramah;
  • PDF and Word files without your letterhead;
  • a MinitHub footer on what you share (the share page, the email, and PDF and Word files): the app's name, our website and links to download MinitHub from the app stores.

Pro

  • 20 hours of minit a month; a minit for recordings up to 3 hours long; all 13 templates and your own; your letterhead (logo, organisation name, address and phone) on PDF and Word files, emails and share pages; no MinitHub footer on what you share; email reminders to action owners; up to 10 hours a month of live transcript while you record (a preview on your phone; the minit is still written from the whole recording). The live words show only while your phone has a good connection. When the month's live hours are used up, the live words stop, and the recording and the minit carry on.
  • MinitHub Pro is a subscription: RM29.90 a month or RM249 a year in Malaysia. Your app store shows the final price, in your currency, before you buy.
  • You pay through your phone's app store account, which takes the payment when you confirm the purchase.
  • Free trial. New subscribers may get Pro free for the first 7 days, when the app store shows the offer before you buy (one trial per app store account). During the trial, Pro features are on, and you can write up to 3 hours of minit and use up to 1 hour of live transcript. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and your app store account is charged.
  • It renews automatically at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your app store account is charged within 24 hours before each renewal.
  • Cancel any time in your app store account's subscription settings. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by the app store under its own rules. We cannot refund store purchases ourselves.
  • If we change the price, the app store will tell you before it applies, and you can cancel before then.
  • Prices in the store include any tax the store collects.

Limits on every plan

  • Minutes of minit count the length of the audio, rounded up to the next whole minute per meeting, and only for a minit that was written. A failed minit uses no minutes.
  • The monthly minutes start again on the 1st of each month at 00:00 Malaysia time. Unused minutes do not carry over.
  • Recording is never blocked by the plan. Only writing the minit is.
  • One recording can be up to 3 hours long. It stops and saves by itself at 3 hours.
  • Fair use: up to 5 hours of audio a day per account. Over that, or when our service is very busy, your minit waits and starts later. It is not lost.
  • Pro is for the subscriber's own meetings. One account is for one person: do not share it across a company or a team. If we see clearly abusive use, such as one account used by many people, we may contact you and, if it continues, limit recording for that account.
  • Rewriting a minit in the other language uses no minutes, up to 3 times per meeting. "Ask about this meeting" has a daily limit.
  • We may change the Free plan's limits. We will tell you in the app first.

What we do not promise

We work to keep MinitHub running and your data safe, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". We do not promise it will always be available, free of faults, or that every transcript and minit will be correct, or that every notification will arrive. Keep your own copies of anything you must keep by law.

As far as the law of Malaysia allows:

  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit, lost business, lost data, or a decision made on a minit you did not check;
  • we are not liable for how you record, or for a recording made without the consent of the people in it;
  • our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for MinitHub in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, or takes away your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 where it applies.

You agree to cover our losses if a claim is made against us because you recorded someone without consent or broke these terms.

Ending it

You can stop using MinitHub and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or is used for fraud. Where we can, we will tell you why first.

The app stores

These terms are between you and us only, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its support. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries.

Which law, and where

The law of Malaysia governs these terms, and the courts of Malaysia decide any dispute about them.

Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it applies. If you keep using MinitHub after that, you accept the new terms.
